A 31-1 shot in the second Hambletonian elimination, Amazing Catch sat on the pylons behind T C I and Private Access and wound up third. He was six lengths behind T C I at the wire, was timed in 1:52 and trotted a 27.2 final quarter.

Amazing Catch had a single victory at age 2, that coming in a Kindergarten Series division at the Meadowlands. He was second in his elimination and third in the William Wellwood Memorial final at Woodbine Mohawk Park and the runner-up in the Peter Haughton Memorial final at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. To date in 2024, he lowered his mark to 1:53.4 in winning an overnight race at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, was second in the Dr. Harry M. Zweig Memorial at Vernon Downs and seventh in his Stanley Dancer Memorial division at the Meadowlands.

trainer Ake Svanstedt: He raced good again. We did a little equipment change last time (when he finished seventh in a division of the Stanley Dancer Memorial on July 13), and he wasn’t himself. But today, he was normal again.

It is tough against the best ones, but we will try. He’s got everything, but he needs to step up if he is going to race against Karl and T C I.
