JL Cruze Wins Hambletonian Maturity

JL Cruze stormed to victory with Hall of Famer John Campbell at the lines in the $443,300 Hambletonian Maturity on Saturday night (July 18) at the Meadowlands. 

The trotter was clocked in a new world record clocking of 2:04.2 for the one and 1/8 mile test..Eric Ell trains the 4-year-old Crazed gelding for Kenny Wood, J Ditmar Jr., and SJ Laquinta.

"They were trotting out of there the last two weeks and I thought I'd have to use him hard, but once I got him out there he did the rest," said Campbell. "It's a tough group of horses and I knew Resolve would be a horse to watch."
