At Pocono, our filly trotter choices in all three Pennsylvania Sires Stakes (PASS) events ($77,790 each) finished second to winning public choices, all trained by Chris Oakes and driven by Jim Morrill, Jr.

Lady Broadway won the first, paying $2.20, in 1:55.2f for owners Susan Oakes, Hauser Bros. Racing Ent. LLC and Conrad Zurich.

Our choice, True Valentine (H-Cantab Hall) was second at 11-1. Drink The Wine (H-Andover Hall) was third as the three top finished within ¾ length.

Frau Blucher (H-Broadway Hall) continued her onslaught this season by winning the second PASS in a sizzling season’s best 1:52.3f, taking over at the half and commanding the rest of the mile. She won over our choice, Coffeecake Hanover (H-Cantab Hall) who was 10-1.

Another huge favorite, Frau Blucher paid $2.40. Curtsy Hanover took third. Hauser Bros. Racing Ent. LLC, J&T Silva Stables LLC and Matt Tudisco own Frau Blucher.

Oakes and Morrill completed the hat-trick with Classic Martine (H- Classic Photo) in the third filly PASS. Hauser Bros. Racing Ent. LLC, Edwin Gold and Conrad Zurich’s filly took over early and controlled the field for a win in 1:53.1f.

Our choice, Royal Assets (H-Donato Hanover) finished second at 8-1. Chiptomylou was 5 lengths back, best of the rest of the field.
