Freshmen Trotters Shine; Milton Elims Contested

Mohawk Racetrack contested another week of Grand Circuit events on their program Saturday, Sept. 17, with the $363,000 Peaceful Way Final, $350,000 William Wellwood Memorial Final, and two $35,000 eliminations of the Milton Pace.
 
Ariana G (BC-Muscle Hill) took control after the half and progressed to a 1:54 victory in the Peaceful Way Final over Thats All Moni (BC-Cantab Hall) and Magic Presto (BC-Kadabra). Owned by Marvin Katz and Al Libfeld, trained by Jimmy Takter, and driven by Yannick Gingras, she paid $2.10.
 
Seven And Seven swept down the center of the track to win the William Wellwood Final in 1:55.3 over Jake (BC-Muscle Hill) and International Moni. Owned by trainer Thomas Durand along with partners June Durand and Allan Smith and driven by John Campbell, he paid $7.30.
 
Wrangler Magic (BC-Mach Three) and Lady Shadow (BC-Shadow Play) won the eliminations for the Milton Pace, going 1:51.2 and 1:51 respectively.
 
Wrangler Magic, owned by Thomas Kyron, Dr. Maurice Stewart, Brian Paquet and Bayama Farms, trained by Stephane Larocque and driven by Sylvain Filion, paid $107.40 to win.
 
Lady Shadow, owned by David Kryway, Carl Atley, Edwin Gold, and BFJ Stable, trained by Ron Adams, and driven by Yannick Gingras, paid $3.30 to win.
