Fine Tuned Lady quickest in Pennsylvania Sires Stakes’ quartet

In wire-to-wire fashion, Fine Tuned Lady (H-Cantab Hall) trotted the fastest of four divisions of the $149,852 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes (PASS) for three-year-old filly trotters at The Meadows on Saturday, May 13, winning as the 8-5 second choice in 1:54 over That’s All Moni (H-Cantab Hall) and Future Secured (H-Cantab Hall).

Owned by William Wiswell and M And L Of Delaware LLC, trained by John Butenschoen, and driven by Corey Callahan, Fine Tuned Lady paid $5.20.

Crann Tara (H-Donato Hanover) circled by her competition heading into the stretch to win the opening division of the PASS in 1:56.1 over Aight Hanover and The Erm. Owned by William Donovan, trained by Linda Toscano, and driven by Tim Tetrick, she paid $10.20.

Sweeping to the lead moving to the quarter, Treviso (H-Muscle Massive) maintained control, winning her PASS split in 1:54.1 over pocket-rider Sianna Hanover (H-Donato Hanover) and Hot Mess Hanover. Trained and driven by Charlie Norris for owners Klis Brothers Stable and Carrie Norris, she paid $8.60.

Roaring from off cover midway around the final turn, Cool Cates (H-Yankee Glide) launched to the lead and past tempo-setter Broadway Idole (H-Broadway Hall) and her closest pursuer Vodka N Lindy (H-Cantab Hall) to upset her division of the PASS in 1:55.1 at 31-1. Racing for All Laid Out Stable Inc., Cool Cates is trained by Noel Daley and driven by Andrew McCarthy. She paid $64.00 to win.
