Pinkman Sets World Record in Breeders Crown Victory
One of two namesakes of the popular AMC drama Breaking Bad, the Jimmy Takter-trained Pinkman took the lead into the backstretch and held off all foes to win the $500,000 Breeders Crown Two-Year-Old Colt Trot in 1:53.2.
Guess Whos Back gained control, while Uncle Lasse loomed closer to his outside. Through a :27.4 first quarter, Uncle Lasse took the lead. Pinkman soon followed the move of his stable mate, and gained the lead before the half.

Once in front, Pinkman was left uncontested through fractions of :56.4 and 1:25.3. French Laundry led the two-wide charge, with Muscle Diamond riding his back. Pinkman was drifting off the cones through the stretch, allowing French Laundry to dive to the inside and attempt to gain ground.
Muscle Diamond put in his final charge towards the center of the course, and could only finish second to Pinkman, doing so in a track, stakes and world record of 1:53.2 (equaling the stakes record).
French Laundry was third, and Habitat was fourth.
